Welcome to Economics at Hacettepe. The Department of Economics was founded in 1967 by Professor Osman Okyar, one of the earliest leading scholars of profession in Turkey. In 1982, the Department became a part of newly founded Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. [More Info] The Department of Economics offers a joint degree program with SUNY-Geneseo to its incoming undergraduate students. [More Info] The Department of Economics is an active participant of Erasmus Program which aims to encourage and support academic mobility of higher education students and teachers in Europe.
