Traditional Economic Integration Theories, New Economic Integration Theories, Optimum Currency Areas, Monetary Integration, Policies of the EU.

 

Course Objective and Fulfillments to be obtained by Students

 

This course introduces mainly the economic integration theories. The main aim of the course is to enable you to understand the process of real and monetary economic integration. By the end of the course you will be expected to demonstrate a comprehensive and detailed understanding of international economic integration theories, differentiate different types of economic integration and assess the economic impacts of economic integration under perfect and imperfect market assumptions.
