Course Content

The definition and the aim of Economy science, the main economics of the society and solutions of these problems:

·        Market mechanism: supply and demand analysis,

·        Supply and demand elasticities,

·        Demand analysis: consumer behaviour,

·        Supply analysis: the relation between firm’s production and cost, production and price behaviour of a firm in perfect competition, profit equilibrium in oligopoly and monopoly,

·        Analysis of factor markets: Labor, capital and natural resources markets,

·        General equilibrium: the reciprocal dependence of markets.

Course Objective and Fulfillments to be obtained by Students

 

After this course the students;

  • Will have the acknowledgement about the aim and the terminology of microeconomics,
  • Will have the basic acknowledgement about market, firms’ profit maximization, consumer behaviors, production function, factor markets and as a resultant of these general equilibrium which are fundamentals of microeconomics.
