Course Objective and Fulfillments to be obtained by Students

 

The objective of this course is to give the student the basic concepts and tools of the economic history. The role of European economic development in terms of the emergence of capitalism will be at the epicenter of the lectures. The main focus of this course will the development of capitalism as a world system and its spread. The course will be ended with a brief discussion of the contemporary era, in which the process of globalization is said to be prevalent.
